Mr. Wood then practiced for nearly two years at a law firm that litigated both insurance defense and plaintiff personal injury cases, during which he gained significant jury trial experience. In 2000, Mr. Wood again advanced his career to a prominent law firm in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he served as lead counsel and co-chair on numerous trials, arbitrations, and appeals in major personal injury and wrongful death cases primarily in areas of medical malpractice, trucking, roadway design, and motor vehicle accidents.
In late 2003 through early 2010, Mr. Wood resumed practicing at the same firm where he began his career, again exclusively handling catastrophic injury/death litigation. There, Mr. Wood litigated a variety of major tort cases, including eleven product liability cases in six States involving backhoe loader design over the course of six years, and numerous cases involving construction, roadway design, trucking, dram shop, and general negligence matters.
Mr. Wood has continued his legacy of litigating catastrophic injury/death cases at the BrewerWood firm in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Wood’s practice areas remain serious personal injury, wrongful death, insurance coverage/bad faith, and appellate practice.
Mr. Wood is experienced in litigating complex tort cases such as – Transportation Accidents involving tractor trucks, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, and automobiles; Product Defects involving automobiles and automotive components, tire failures, motorcycle and ATV’s, recreational vehicles and trailers, bicycles and components, heavy equipment and machinery, ladders, and all types of consumer products; Highway and Street Design Defects involving dangerous roadway design, lack of signage, lack of traffic signals, lack of warnings, and insufficient street lighting; Premises Liability involving falls in public places and residences and; criminal attacks at public places such as shopping malls, hotels, and parking lots; Construction Accidents; Dram Shop (alcohol seller liability for over serving alcoholic beverages) and; Animal Attacks/Bites; Medical Malpractice and; Public Utilities Liability.
