WHAT ARE THE CONCUSSION DANGER SIGNS IN ADULTS?

Picture
If you have any reason to believe that you may have suffered a concussion, even if you are not suffering from symptoms right now, it's imperative that you seek immediate medical treatment.

Remember this: Some concussion symptoms don't present right away. Instead, they don't begin to cause you trouble until several days or weeks after your accident.
Here are some of the concussion danger signs in adults:
  • A headache that continues to worsen and will not go away
  • Repeated vomiting accompanied by nausea
  • Slurred speech
  • Decreased coordination and weakness
One or more of these symptoms could be the sign of a blood clot that is crowding the brain. If you don't have this checked out at once, the end result could be serious injury or even death.

It's hard for many people to believe that concussion symptoms can remain dormant for an extended period of time, but this can definitely happen. That's why you always need to receive a professional medical examination if you have hit your head, such as in a motor vehicle accident.

The treatment of a concussion is based largely on the extent of the injury. For example, there is a big difference between a minor concussion and one that has caused bleeding on the brain.

If you were injured due to the negligence of another person, such as a drunk driver, you should learn more about your legal rights. You may be able to file a lawsuit with the idea of receiving compensation for your injuries and any other damages you sustained as the result of the accident.
