FACTS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT PLANE CRASHES

Plane crashes, especially those involving airliners, are often all over the news. However, there are still a lot of things people don't know about these accidents. Below are a few interesting things to consider.
1. It may be safer to choose a seat at the back of the plane. Studies have found that those in the back statistically are more likely to survive or suffer fewer injuries than those in the front. This doesn't hold true in every case, but is a general trend. One study said those in the back were 40 percent more likely to live in a deadly crash.

2. Accidents usually don't happen in the middle of the flight. If you're sitting in the plane feeling nervous as you fly, take solace in the fact that you've already made it through the first three minutes, when accidents are far more likely. However, you may still feel somewhat nervous, as both the first three minutes and the final eight are when danger is highest.

3. If the plane is on fire, you typically have a minute and a half to get out. This is why experts say you absolutely should just leave your carry-on where it is. The slides are designed to help people exit quickly, but it's still quite a chore to get the whole cabin cleared in 90 seconds.

While people often think of major plane crashes that kill everyone on board, there are many in which passengers are just injured or in which the vast majority survive. If you've been hurt in such a crash, you may be able to seek compensation for your injuries, medical costs, and the like in Arizona.
